Still, all in all, she's a remarkably balanced ship. Happened where I got chat-banned for threatening said-same driver with retribution in future matches (and I didn't even use my usual lingo, I was being rather polite about the whole thing, up until a troll decided to report). The only time I hate is when a wild destroyer appears and torps me. I'll often end up giving one or two broadsides, but since I've played her I've grown more cautious and unafraid to turn tail and kite for a few to get rid of some the peskier fleas. It's a fine line but I've caught plenty of CAs with GC and that is where you make your Big Money.
Like the High Tier RN BBs, you can sneak into ranges where you out spot CAs. If you don't use that speed and stealth, more bad things are likely to happen to you.
I feel safer in NY if it comes down to taking big shells, because GC is terrible in taking them. The armor is real squishy and other BBs can easily punish you if you didn't extricate yourself early enough or got yourself too deep into too much trouble. It pretty much is a "Heavy" Heavy Cruiser
